So I finally made it to Savannah Georgia. I'm telling you Savannah is so nice. The people are so friendly.
One of the many places I wanted to visit was The Lady & Sons Restaurant (Paula Deen). I've heard the food was good from friends that have visited, but heard otherwise from the locals.
I love that the restaurant is located in downtown, so it was convenient because we was site seeing.
The restaurant is 3 stories high, with a kitchen on each floor. We was seated on 3rd floor with a nice view. As we sat down the waitress brought us the best cheese and garlic biscuits and hoe cakes ( fried pancake) .
You have the options of ordering a meal or trying the buffet. I decided to try the buffet which had: baked chicken, fried chicken, pork chops, rice, gravy, black eye peas, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and Liam beans. I first tried the pork chops with rice, gravy, collards and Mac. The pork chops melt in your mouth, the gravy was good, the Mac and cheese was alright, and the collards was extremely spicy. So I tried the fried chicken, which I've had better. For my drink I had a sangria, I should of just gotten ice water.
After your meal you have the option of getting dessert. I had the banana pudding.... ummmmm..... It was ok. The bananas was brown.
I can honestly say I would not go back thgere to eat when I visit savannah. It's definitely not what I was expecting.
